How many Bucky Badgers stacked on top of each other equate to the height of Bascom Hill or the Carillon Tower?

All right, before we get out the calculator, let’s figure out our factors. Every Bucky Badger mascot is between 5’10” and 6’2”. This makes it easier to share costumes between students over the years, as well as gives Bucky a consistent appearance at any given event. Let’s split the difference and call Bucky an even six feet. Bascom Hill has an elevation of about 950 feet. Math majors can correct us if need be, but with a bit of quick division, that means we’d need 158.33 Bucky mascots standing atop one another to equal the height of Bascom Hill. However, a third of a Badger sounds messy. If we add in a few 6’2” options, we can get an exact number: 146 six-foot Buckys and 12 of the 6’2” size. That's 158 total mascots. Carillon Tower stands at 85 feet. If we want only full mascots, we could use 10 6’2” Buckys and four at 5’10”.
