Good times and great traditions await as UW Homecoming invites Badgers to return to their roots. With entertaining events, educational activities, and more, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Time to Celebrate: October 2–7
UW Homecoming is back! Return to campus — or participate online — and enjoy a week filled with Badger spirit. The family-friendly festivities include something for Badgers of all ages. In addition, Multicultural Homecoming events provide space for alumni of color to build community and are a long-standing WAA tradition. So, let’s Celebrate On, Badger nation, and jump into this epic Homecoming experience.

Family-Friendly Scavenger Hunt (online activity)
Wednesday, Oct. 4, 5:30–6:15 p.m. CDT
An online, family-friendly scavenger hunt cohosted by Bucky Badger, where you will seek out Badger-themed everyday objects in your home.
Fill the Hill
Thursday, Oct. 5, 5 p.m.–Friday, Oct. 6, 5 p.m.
Fill the Hill is coming back — and this year, the flamingos are celebrating the university’s 175th anniversary!
UW Homecoming Parade Presented by the Wisconsin Union and the Wisconsin Homecoming Committee
Friday, Oct. 6, 6–7:30 p.m.
State Street and Gilman Street
A beloved tradition featuring bands, Bucky, the UW Spirit Squad, fun floats, lots of candy, and more.
Block Party and Pep Rally
Friday, Oct. 6, 7–9 p.m. (immediately following the UW Homecoming Parade)
Alumni Park and Memorial Union, Terrace Stage
A family-friendly block party following the UW Homecoming Parade that features a silent disco, alumni DJs, stargazing, fireworks (weather permitting), and more. Plus, show your Badger pride at a pep rally featuring Bucky Badger, the UW Marching Band, and special guests.
Multicultural Homecoming Yard Show
Friday, Oct. 6, 8–10 p.m.
Memorial Union, Shannon Hall
Members of the National Pan-Hellenic Council and Multicultural Greek Council showcase various step, stroll, and salute routines, giving the audience a chance to celebrate and understand the importance of each council. Hosted in partnership with the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life.
Badger Meet-Ups: Hoco Edition
Friday, Oct. 6, 10 p.m.–1 a.m.
Rigby Pub — Green Room
Join fellow recent graduates for a free night of mingling and casual networking to kick off your Homecoming festivities at the Rigby Pub. Registrants will receive two drink tickets and light appetizers. A cash-only bar will also be available.
Divine Nine Plaza Kickback
Saturday, Oct. 7, 9–11 a.m.
East Campus Mall
A celebration of the history and contributions of the Black fraternities and sororities that form the National Pan-Hellenic Council at UW–Madison.
UW Homecoming Football Game: Wisconsin vs. Rutgers
Saturday, Oct. 7, 11 a.m.
Camp Randall

Multicultural Homecoming Tailgate and Watch Party
Saturday, Oct. 7, 10:30 a.m.–3 p.m.
Pyle Center
Mix, mingle, and cheer from the Pyle Center, Alumni Park, and the rooftop at One Alumni Place while also enjoying a variety of food and beverage options, yard games, an interactive photo booth, and more.
The Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association will hold these events in accordance with all local public health guidance. Mask usage is welcome but not required. Participants who are sick are asked to stay home to help keep our Badger community safe and healthy.
