Since 2009, the Motor City Badgers Chapter of the Wisconsin Alumni Association has received The Bascom Award, the highest honor for chapter achievement and service to alumni, students, and the community. On June 23, 2023, Renee Hamilton-Newman accepted the award for MCB at the Badgers Leader Conference in Madison.
