WAA: Latinx Affinity Group Orgullo Badger — Plática and Networking

The Wisconsin Alumni Association: Latinx Affinity Group is excited to host its second in-person event. Orgullo Badger will bring together an all-star panel who will share their insights on how they how have navigated their careers. Nurys Uceta-Ramos ’15, Alberto Murillo ’14, and PuraCarina Gonzalez ’10 are excited to share their insights on networking and how their majors may or may not have impacted their career interests!

This is a free event with a buffet, but registration is required. Register by September 26.

Nurys Uceta-Ramos '15

Nurys Uceta-Ramos (she/her/ella), Class of 2015, director of engagement, Forest Park School District 91. Her favorite part of UW–Madison was studying at Mecha with friends.

Alberto Murillo

Alberto Murillo (he/him), Class of 2014, entrepreneur. Murillo’s favorite undergrad activities were competing on the UW bowling team and enjoying summers on the Terrace/sailing on Lake Mendota.

PuraCarina Gonzalez

PuraCarina Gonzalez (she/her/ella), Class of 2010, nonprofit leader/nonprofit education consultant. PuraCarina has committed her professional career to supporting and amplifying equitable educational experiences for Chicago’s Black and Latine students. Most recently, PuraCarina served as executive director of Chicago Campuswide Programs at One Million Degrees (OMD), where she led the expansion of OMD service offerings across the City Colleges of Chicago.
