Our 2015 Badger of the Year: James Weber ’74

An internationally acclaimed research scientist and major contributor to the Human Genome Project, Weber is founder of Prevention Genetics, which provides comprehensive, low-cost, high-quality clinical DNA testing for physicians, genetic counselors and other health care professionals. Weber joined the Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation in 1986, where he was senior research scientist, director of the Center for Medical Genetics and director of the National Institutes of Health-funded Mammalian Genotyping Service.
