The Wisconsin Alumni Association: Twin Cities Chapter is a Minnesota-based 501(c)(3) non-profit and volunteer-run organization comprised of University of Wisconsin-Madison alumni, family, and friends living in the Twin Cities area. With over 17,000 UW-Madison alumni living in the Twin Cities, the Chapter is one of the largest and most active in the country.

Our mission is to:

Welcome

  • Embrace your role as the face of UW-Madison and WAA
  • Be accessible
  • Be responsive
  • Be hospitable

Connect

  • Be a conduit for volunteering on behalf of UW-Madison
  • Be a social and professional hub

Support

  • Encourage alumni to support the UW with their time, talent and treasure
  • Spread the message of the UW to everyone in the community
  • Participate in the UW Foundation’s annual campaign
  • Capture and translate the alumni voice back to the UW and WAA

The University of Wisconsin Alumni Association: Twin Cities strives to host a variety of reasonably-priced events throughout the year enabling Badger Alums, family & friends of all ages, backgrounds and goals to mingle in that famous Badger Way. All of our events offer socializing as well as casual networking opportunities for you to cultivate relationships with other Wisconsin Alums that may last a few minutes or a lifetime.

We charge no local membership fees, however paid WAA members will receive discounts and advance notice for some events. All profits from our events go directly to our Scholarship Fund. Annually, with a match from the UW-Foundation, we provide $20,000 in Scholarships, in the form of a tuition credit, to outstanding Twin Cities High School Grads (college freshmen) who attend UW-Madison.

All upcoming events are posted on our website; some are “just show up” and others require advance registration. The seasonal events are approximate and may change from year-to-year. Exact dates, if known have been added. If you have additional questions about an event, there is a contact person listed for every event on our website or feel free to contact any officer. We also welcome new event ideas!
